Living History 2008

08historical5.jpg

This year we were joined by Technical Sergeant Devlin and five other members of "B" Company 104th Infantry Regiment (historical re-enactment): "common GIs" of the 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division serving in WWII. (We had one 1st Lieutenant, one Technical Sergeant, one Corporal, two Privates First Class, and one Private. For the army ranks of WWII, click here.)

As you know the Second World War was the greatest armed conflict ever witnessed by mankind. Thousands of young Americans found themselves serving in the ranks of the US Armed Forces around the world, fighting against tyranny.

Their unit is made up of individuals from VT, NY, NH, ME, MA, CT & RI, who are dedicated to preserving the history of these remarkable men. Collecting militaria, vehicles, period weaponry, uniforms and manuals, they display them in living history static displays, authentic battle re-enactment's, parades and events for the Veterans: bringing the story of the Yankee Division Soldier in WWII to life. Thank you, gentlemen!
